Boreas and Orithya Etching by German Painter Heinrich Lossow (1843 – 1897), û wênekêş û kurê peykersaz Arnold Hermann Lossow (1805 – 1874), the son of a tailor who started studying sculptor at the age of 15 with sculptor Heinrich Freese (1797 – 1837).

This is a Greek Mythology etching of Boreas the representation of the North Wind embracing and carrying aloft the beautiful Orithya one of the daughters of Erechtheus, King of Athens; as he carries her through a very thick collection of clouds above the ground; with the clouds disposing of there rain to the surface.

According to the legend they lived in Thrace as King and Queen of the winds and had two sons Calais and Zetes, as well as two daughters Cleopatra and Chione.
