What is Baroque art?
What is Baroque art? It is an artistic style of art, architecture, dance, photography, sculpture and many other arts which flourished in Europe during the period of the Baroque in the early to mid-fourteenth century until the mid-eighteenth century. The word “Bassoque” derives from the French word for ballet. There has been much debate as to whether or not the term was first used during the Baroque period or if it was something that came about much later.
During the time of the Renaissance and Baroque art, there were periods where artistic movements progressed in several different areas. These included things such as the development of the tulip tree, the development of the practice of the renaissance, the rise of the Catholic Church, and the development of the Reformation. With all these happening at the same time, there was a great artistic ferment. People were very interested in exploring new ways to express themselves, as well as new forms of religious art. In the case of the baroque period, artists were exploring new ways to express themselves through the art they were making.
Baroque art basically deals with architecture and sculpture. There are several different types of architectural styles that can be considered baroque. The most famous of these would include the Spanish Baroque, the French Chateau, the Italian Tuscan, and the German Guggenheim. Each of these genres have their own unique features, but what they all have in common is the use of architectures that are influenced by the Roman Empire, the Greek architecture, the Renaissance, and the Gothic architecture.
One of the most interesting characteristic of baroque art is its use of architectural structures that are influenced by the Roman Empire. Usually, the architecture has elements that have some Roman influence, such as columns and arches. However, what is great about this type of building is the way it was used as a part of the artwork. This means that one of the main characteristic of this genre of painting is how the architecture of the time is represented in the painting. This can be seen in the way the buildings are oriented, the way the statues are set against the walls of the buildings, and even in the way the shapes of the buildings are represented.
One other characteristic that is commonly associated with what is baroque art is the painting’s limited nature. Baroque paintings usually only have small scenes or only a few details in their design. This is because baroque architecture makes the scenes more interesting if they are small and not detailed. This also makes baroque art difficult to complete, since the scene is usually too small to realistically draw.

And yet, the original artists of these paintings could only produce these works because of the financial support that was given to them by Spanish baroque artists during the time period when they were primarily being crafted.
The term baroque, on the other hand, refers to a specific style of painting that can be dated back at the fifteenth century. This style, which dates back to this time, is characterized by a bold use of color, often featuring colors that are foreign to artists at the time. The term baroque art features very bold contrasting colors that are seen in most art of the time period in question. However, this boldness can also sometimes be a problem because at times, these bold contrasting colors can actually make things look very cluttered and messy.
What does all of this mean for us today? It means that we must learn to appreciate the beauty that comes with balance in our art. Balance, after all, is one of the greatest artistry skills that people can learn. Now, let’s go back to the question that started this article… what is baroque art? Well, the answer is that this particular style of painting has been portrayed as being much different than what the Renaissance was portraying.
