Landscape in Germany

Landscape in Germany c1860 by Finnish Landscape Painter Victoria Åberg (1824 – 1892); a noted painter of the Düsseldorf tradition who was one of the first Finnish women to achieve professional success as a painter.

A genre landscape scene of a mother with her child (which may be her daughter), walking on a road through the forest carrying on her back a bundle of firewood that she has collected.

To their right is a high ridge filled with trees, with some of them beginning to fall off the ledge; with more trees and bushes to their right that also includes a smaller path.

In the background from which they were coming from we can see a lake, and on the opposite bank more forest area, as well as blue sky with some clouds.

This is a remastered digital art old masters reproduction of a public domain image that is available for purchase online in a variety of material formats including canvas prints, acrylic prints, metal prints, wood prints, framed prints, posters, and as rolled canvas prints in a variety of size from 12 inches to 72 inches depending on the size of the actual artwork and the print on demand shop you choose to buy the art from.
