Portrait Of A Young Lady Wearing A Veil

Portrait Of A Young Lady Wearing A Veil c1800 from the French School between the 16th and 19th Century; which provided artistic training in drawing, painting, engraving and sculpture and was the preeminent training institution for centuries and the model others followed in other countries.

This is a beautiful portrait of a young lady with brown hair and large dark eyes, with a gold headpiece with embedded rubies placed on the rear top; that has a sheer veil covering part of her head.

The veil drapes over her bare shoulders and breast allowing us to just see her skin tones beneath it, with another white cloth wrapped around her just below her breast.

Though she is painted with her body in a three quarter view; her face is complete facing the viewer with her eyes looking off to her right at something in the distance.

The background is comprised of an evening sky with just barely visible clouds made up of broad strokes of blue, violet, dark grey, and a bit of orange; which ensures that viewers attention is on the young lady

This is a remastered digital art old masters reproduction of a public domain image that is available as a canvas print online.
