This is a wonderful genre portrét mladé ženy carrying a large reddish-gold woven basket of fruit, which contains a bundle of recently picked red and white grapes with plants leaves still attached; that she is holding by the front top with her right hand and supporting on the bottom with her left hand.
The portrait is set against a dark grey slate wall with orange spattering, that blends nicely with the orange-tan hat which features a large crown and brim she is wearing that has, that is large enough to have seated around the front perimeter an assortment of flowers and plants, part of which hang off her left side of the hat.
She is also wearing jewelry comprising small gold loop earrings and a gold chain necklace, that is partially covered by the white front open blouse she is wearing on which her long brown is resting on; as well as a burgundy colored vest.

Jan was born to Sibrand van Noordt a Carillonneur and schoolmaster on 1623 nebo 1624 in the North Holland town of Schagen; and sometime in the late 1630s, his family moved to Amsterdam.
