Peter Driben se narodil v Bostonu, a studoval na Vesper George Art School, než se v roce přestěhoval do Paříže 1925. Při lekcích na Sorbonně v 1925, zahájil sérii velmi oblíbených kreseb perem a inkoustem městských dívek.
V březnu roku 1934 Driben vytvořil svůj první známý pin-up, který byl přebalem La Paree Stories; a podle 1935, vyráběl kryty pro Snappyho, Říz, New York Nights, Francouzský noční život a rozmar.
Jak Dribenova popularita na konci třicátých let stále stoupala, vytvořil další obálky pro další periodika včetně Silk Stocking Stories., Filmový kolotoč a opravdová zábava na obrazovce.
Dribenova kariéra se rozšířila do reklamy, když se později přestěhoval do New Yorku 1936. Zde vytvořil originální trojrozměrné vysekávané výlohy pro Philco Radios, Dělové osušky, a Weber Baking Company.

Driben by měl často vydávat až šest nebo sedm jeho obálek každý měsíc. Dribenova práce pro Harrisona z něj udělala jednoho z nejuznávanějších a nejúspěšnějších amerických pin-up a glamour umělců.. Těsně předtím, než začal pracovat pro Harrisona, Driben se oženil s umělcem, herečka a básnířka, Louise Kirbyová.
