At The Bath od řeckého malíře Theodorose Ralliho (1852 – 1909); kdo byl známý pro je žánrové scény, krajinomalby a portrétní malby.
This is a beautiful portrait painting of an alluring young lady in a bath house that is relaxing while taking a steam bath.
Her hair is wrapped with a heavy multi toned brown towel and her body is covered in an off white full length wrap that goes from just above her breast down to her legs.
She is seated on a blue tiled square like bench that has at is center a polygonal enclosure that contains steaming water; while she holds her closed fist up to the sides of her face and head in a stretching pose.
There is light streaming from the right of the scene that illuminated her chest, part of the left side of her face, her left forearm and lap; casting shadows on the other parts of her upper and lower body.
In the background we can see a large arched wall with an enclave that has in it a ceramic or metal water vase, and to the far left of the enclave is a passage way, with a smaller arch; and the steam bath scene is completed with steam vapors rising and floating throughout the room.

O umělci
Theodoros Ralli studoval na Aténské škole výtvarných umění pod vedením Nikiphoros Lytras (1832 – 1904), a pak odjel do Paříže, Francie, kde byla jeho tvorba ovlivněna impresionisty a která je vidět v žánrových scénách, krajiny a portréty; a byl známý svou schopností zachytit světlo a atmosféru ve svých uměleckých dílech.
Theodoros byl členem “Mnichovská škola” řeckých umělců, kteří se snažili spojit tradiční řecká témata s modernějším a realističtějším stylem. Pracoval také jako ilustrátor pro různé noviny a časopisy v Řecku a Evropě.
