Pri La Artisto
Friedrich August von Kaulbach (1850 – 1920) was a German painter who was active during the late 19th and early 20th century.

He was born in Hanover, Germanujo, into an artistic family, with his father Wilhelm von Kaulbach (1805 – 1874) being a well-known painter, along with his grandfather Friedrich Kaulbach, kiu ankaŭ estis pentristo.
Friedrich studied art in Munich, Germany at the Academy of Fine Arts, where he was a student of the historical painter Karl von Piloty (1826 – 1886).
He traveled extensively throughout Europe, visiting Italy, Francio, and Spain, where he studied the works of the old masters as many painters of his time did.
Friedrich was primarily a historical painter, producing large-scale paintings depicting scenes from mythology, Historio, kaj literaturo.
His works were often dramatic and emotional, with a focus on character and storytelling; but he was also known for his portraits, which were executed with great attention to detail and realism.
Kaulbach’s style was influenced by the academic tradition of painting, which emphasized the importance of technical skill and composition; and he also incorporated elements of Romanticism, with a focus on the expression of emotion and the sublime.
Some of Kaulbach’s most notable works include “The Fall of the Titans” C1875, “The Judgment of Paris” c1880, kaj “The Death of Wallenstein” c1884.
During his career, he became a member of several art academies and received numerous awards and honors throughout his artistic creations.
