Christmas Pinup by American Painter Bill Medcalf (1920 – 2005); pin-up girl illustratør samt en portrett- og landskapsmaler som karriere spenner fra slutten av 1940-tallet til slutten av 1960-tallet.
Dette er en vakker Christmas Girl Pinup Illustration featuring a beautiful young blonde as Santa’s Helper that is sitting on the floor.
She dressed in a skimpy red and white outfit, that’s just an open red vest with white velour trimming, red shorts with white velour trimming, white high heel boots with red threaded trimming and tassels at the top, a red cap with a white fluffy puff on the top and finally a bell bracelet on her left wrist.
She is holding a large white greeting card with her left outstretched arm that is above and in front of wrapped gift boxes and a decorated Christmas tree branches.
In the background is a very large window that has star lit sky view, with the North Star shining bright over a lighted terrain and a lighted white billboard.
To fill in the empty white spaces in the image I added the illustration artwork, Pinup Girl by Alberto Vargas to the large greeting card, with my Fractal piece She Within The Machine for the background; and lastly I added the Classical art piece Winter Landscape with Skaters on a Frozen River by Frederik Marinus Kruseman to the billboard.

Though Bill did not have much formal training, he had a keen eye and a great since of style and form that would eventually make him one of the top pinup model artist of his generation.
Born in Minneapolis Minnesota in 1920, Bill fikk sin kunstneriske opplæring fra utdanningsinstitusjonene i området i nærheten av der han bodde.
I en alder av 20 han var i stand til å få jobb hos United States Treasury Bureau of Engraving, hvor han ble til 1942, da han bestemte seg for å reise inn i U.S.A. marinen; å bli en skytterkamerat.
Etter sin militærtjeneste begynte Bill i staben til Brown & Stort nede 1946 og i 1947 produsert en elegant illustrasjon av en vakker ung dame som går tur med hunden sin på en eiendom for Kelly-Springfield Celebrity Tyres.
Han ville også lage lignende reklameillustrasjoner for andre kunder som også viste seg å være en suksess hos publikum.
I 1949 Bill laget sin første Pin up for Brown & Bigelow og inn 1951 ble kåret til en av de fem beste pin-up artistene i firmaet.
Medcalf ble igjen hos Brown & Bigelow til 1967 win pin up illustrativ kunst begynte å avta, på grunn av den skiftende kulturen og distribusjonen av voksen mannlige blader.
