Fan Fair
Fan Fair by American Painter Enoch Bolles (1883 – 1976); bekend als een pin-up art illustrator in glamourstijl.
A beautiful alluring blonde pinup girl enjoys a nice cool breeze from a pink electric hand fan with a yellow cage she is holding in her right hand, which is pointed at her face.
The fan has a green ribbon attached to it indicating that the fan is blowing air in the direction of her face; and in her left hand she is holding an old fashion cocktail with a cherry, orange slice, cubes of ice and a double straw in it, that is resting on the table she is sitting on; with her left leg bent over the right thigh of her bent leg.
The portrait of the young lady has her wearing a striped blue and white top with the bra section being all white, with matching short pants and a white button skirt, as well as blue and white striped open toe and heel platform shoes; that are also have blue and white soles.
To the plain white background I decided to add widely spaced black lines for a more visual appeal and to break up the background to compliment her clothing.

Enoch werd geboren uit parfumchemicus Enoch Bolles, Jr en Catherine Keep in Marion County, Florida in maart 3, 1883.
Hij studeerde aan de New York National Academy of Design (is. 1825), en publiceerde zijn eerste illustratie op de covers van humortijdschriften; Rechter en Puck in 1914; vooral bekend geworden door het illustreren van het pulptijdschrift Film Fun.
Dan in 1923 hij werd de exclusieve coverartiest voor Film Magazine en zou in die functie blijven tot 1943, toen het tijdschrift het slachtoffer werd van de campagne van de toenmalige Postmaster General tegen schunnig materiaal.
Tijdens Henoch's tijd bij Film Fun Magazine creëerde hij 200 stukken cover art, en tenminste 300 extra omslagen voor andere tijdschriften met pittige pulp, inclusief Breezy Stories, Pep en New York Nights.
Enoch's maandelijkse line-up van de All-American Beauty, precies geposeerd in fantasierijke kostuums, is verantwoordelijk voor het definiëren van de kunst van American Pin Up Illustration. Hij was ook een veelzijdig illustrator die reclamekunst maakte voor veel producten uit die tijd, zoals Sun-Maid Raisins en Zippo Lighters..
Op de leeftijd van 60, in 1943 Henoch moest zijn professionele carrière beëindigen vanwege psychische problemen, en werd hem voor het grootste deel van zijn leven opgesloten in het Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital in New Jersey; maar hij bleef portretten in opdracht schilderen en voor persoonlijk plezier.
Hij werd uiteindelijk vrijgelaten uit het Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital in... 1969 en hij stierf zeven jaar later aan hartfalen op de leeftijd van... 93.
