Flora

Flora by Austrian Painter హన్స్ జాట్జ్కా (1859 – 1945); also known as P. రోన్సార్డ్, పియర్ డి రోన్సార్డ్, లేదా హెచ్. Zabateri and he signed many of his works as Joseph Bernard, జె. బెర్నార్డ్, or Bernard Zatzka to avoid the penalties of braking contracts that limited how many works he could sell.

This is a beautiful mythical painting of an attractive young blonde sitting on the balcony of a large garden that oversees a vas green landscape with massive trees in the far distant background that are accentuated by a blue sky and white clouds as the sun begins to set.

She is accompanied by three putto as she leans against a large round urn with large curved handles and a beautiful relief pattern; which holds a large amount of yellow flowers that a group of butterflies are attracted to.

There is a putto that is sitting on the balcony to her left to which it seems she is giving flowers to, that is by a large column that is part of the balcony and that is covered with green vines; while on her right, is another putto, that seems to be adding flowers to a basket that her right hand is placed in.

Behind her is the last putto that is levitating above the balcony and that is affixing flowers to her flowing hair. The color of her pink, white and light green dress are complimented nicely by the color of the sky; while the colors of the flowers in front of the balcony that are pink, red, tan and off violet along with another large urn on the ground filled with flowers contrast nicely with the rest of the image.

This is a remastered digital art old masters reproduction of a public domain image that is available as a canvas, acrylic, metal and wood print online.

The purpose of Zatzka’s vast array of pseudonyms was to avoid penalties of breaking contracts which limited the amount of artwork he could sell.

This has caused some art databases to conflate Zatzka’s work under the pseudonym Joseph Bernard with the French sculptor with the same name.

Hans Zatzka was born on 8 మార్చి 1859 in Vienna. His father Bartholomaüs was a construction worker, and his mother was Marie Karpischek Zatzka.

మధ్య 1877 మరియు 1882, he studied at the Academie des Beaux-Arts, under Christian Griepenkerl, Carl Wurzinger, and Karl von Blaas.

Zatzka was able to earn a living through the production of frescoes for churches and other institutions.

లో 1885, Zatzka was commissioned to create the ceiling fresco The Naiad of Baden at Kurhaus Baden.

Many of Zatzka’s works were religious paintings and altar pieces dedicated to various churches in Austria.

అయితే, he is more known for his paintings of women, fairies, and other fantastical scenes.

Often, he would draw inspiration from the works of Richard Wagner and the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm.

In the late 19th and early 20th century, several pieces by Zatzka were photographed and made into commercial and collectable postcards.

During the 1920s, Zatzka’s style became the decor of choice throughout Europe. అదనంగా, the previous thirty years held a resurgence for Zatzka.
