Hugues Merle
Hugues Merle – Berne yn 1822 of 1823 in La Sône. He studied painting with Léon Cogniet. He started exhibiting his artwork at the Paris Salon in 1847; receiving a second class prizes in 1861 en 1863. Yn 1866 he was made Chevalier of the Legion of Honor.
