Norman Prescott-Davies was born in the village of Isleworth London in the United Kingdom in 1862.
Han ble utdannet ved London International College og i South Kensington og i en alder av 29 ble valgt til assosiert med Royal College of Art og senere til Royal Society of British Artists i 1893.
Norman Prescott-Davies var kjent for sine romantiserte portretter av gresk-romerske unge damer, samt en miniatyrist og en figurmaler; og sammen med Alma-Tadema, Godward, Coleman, Bulleid og andre; var blant kunstnerne i perioden noen ganger referert til som “toga og terrasse” eller “marmorskole.”
