This pieces joins together all three of the pieces that Hermann Stilke created into one large format; taking the viewer from the Appearance of Saint Catherine and Saint Michael to Joan of Arc when she is in the forest; to Joan of Arc in Battle against the British Forces as she is on horseback leading the troops, and finally to Joan of Arc’s Death at the Stake with the pope and high officials of both the British and the French watching her burn; all in vibrant compelling color.

Anton Hermann Stilke hè natu in Berlinu u Regnu di Prussia u ghjennaghju 29, 1803 Era un pittore tedescu chì studiava à l'Accademia di Belle Arti di Berlinu è dopu in 1821 studia à l'Accademia di Belle Arti di Munich cù u maestru maestru tedesco Peter von Cornelius (1783 – 1867).

In 1827 Anton hà viaghjatu per l'Italia di u Nordu in un viaghju di studiu, arrivà in Roma in 1828. Allora in 1833 turnò à l'Accademia di Düsseldorf, da induve hà insignatu 1839 – 1843.
Da 1842 – 1846 Anton hà travagliatu in a Sala di Cavaleri in u Castellu Stolzenfels vicinu à Coblenze nantu à a riva di u fiume Renu.; è in 1850 s'hè stabilitu in Berlinu induve hè mortu à l'età di 57 in settembre 22, 1860.
