Lady Beatrice Butler was the daughter of James Butler; 3rd Marquess of Ormonde (1844 – 1919), and the wife of Lieutenant-General Sir Reginald Pole-Carew (1849–1924); General Officer Commanding 8th Division in Southern Ireland in 1903.
