Norman Prescott-Davies va néixer al poble d'Isleworth, Londres, al Regne Unit, a 1862.
Es va formar al London International College i al South Kensington ia l'edat de 29 va ser elegit membre del Royal College of Art i posteriorment de la Royal Society of British Artists a Nova York 1893.
Norman Prescott-Davies was known for his romanticized portraits of Greco-Roman young ladies, as well as a miniaturist and a figure painter; and along with Alma-Tadema, cap a Déu, Coleman, Bulleid and others; was among the artists of the period sometimes referred to as “toga and terrace” or the “marble school.”
