Luis Ricardo Falero (Duilleag 2)
Luis Ricardo Falero was a Spanish painter known for his sensual and mystical depictions of women, often set against cosmic or fantastical backgrounds.
He was influenced by the Pre-Raphaelites and the Symbolists, and his work often reflects themes of fantasy, miotas-eòlas, and the occult.
His most famous painting is probably “The Witches Going To Their Sabbath” c1878, which features a group of nude witches, ghouls and bats flying in a moonlit sky; and even though he also painted numerous portraits and landscapes, it is his erotic and supernatural art that has endured as his legacy.
