This is a late 1920s or early 1930s illustrations of the American film actress, producer, screenwriter and philanthropist Marion Cecillia Douras (1897 – 1961); who was known to the public as Marion Davies.

She began her acting career at the age of 19, performing in the 1916 Follies and also made a film the following year; kaj per 1924, with the help of William Randolph Hearst (1863 – 1851) became the number one female box office star in Hollywood.

Christy was born in 1882 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; kaj en 1899 at the ripe old age of 17 was painting original art for the Boardwalk Atlantic City Picture company.

Many of his early artworks were also published by the J. Hoover and Sons Calendar Company of Philadelphia; when he was 23 years of age he attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Arts from 1905 al 1907.
