Mother Kissing Her Baby

Mother Kissing Her Baby by American Painter Charles Gates Sheldon (1889 – 1961); en Art Nouveau, Edwardiansk og Art Deco-stil illustrator og portrætkunstner.

This is a stunningly beautiful portrait of a young mother embracing her baby in her arms close to her chest has she kisses the sleeping child on the forehead.

The image has an ethereal look to it and follows in the steps of the classical art masters of the past and is a marvelous work of art to look at.

This is a remastered digital art old masters reproduction of a public domain image that is available as metal, acrylic and lærred print online.

Da han vendte tilbage til USA, han begyndte at producere modeillustrationer til Ladies Home Journal Publication; and would produce advertising art for clients such as the Fox Shoe Company, Gainsborough, Fiberloid Hair Brushes, Grown & Bigelow and La Vogue Lingerie in which he received his first commission in 1918 for a pinup illustration.

He would also go on to produces covers for Collier’s Magazine, The Saturday Evening Post, Woman’s Home Companion, Theater Magazine and Photoplay from 1925 – 1930; som startede hans karriere som portrætcover.
