Princess Leenai Of The Golden Shadow

This is a remarkable portrait illustration of one of the most renowned members of the Golden Shadow Clan; Princess Leenai Avestryna, third daughter of King Suleva and his wife Queen Anyia of the Fifth Dynastic Imperium.

Though little is know of this period, she played a pivotal role in the conflicts of the time; and it is believed that this stunning portrait her was done after the battle of Obrinath; in which she and a band of marauders laid the foundation that would rapidly lead to the fall of the Kingdom of Kusani.

In commemoration of this achievement and as the assigned leader she was thus immortalized with this portrait of her in partial battle and regal attire.

We start by examining the background that goes from behind her right shoulder to the back of her left with a look dark stone, indicating the stones that had to be breached for success in the battle to be possible.

Within the ring are a collection flourishes that indicated the myriad of deadly paths she and her warriors encountered and overcame as they carried out their mission.

Her dark hair flows into these curving lines, demonstrating her control of the situation as well as her success in her assignment.

On top of her flowing hair is her crown of Talans, said to have been woven from the dragon scales of the Kidorina, a species no long extinct; and engraved with intricate Prymidian design of her peoples.

At the front center is a large oval onyx gemstone with a dragon eye appearance, inlaid in a casing that has small scales along its outer edge.

On top of this gemstone is another smaller and rounder one that is grey in color, which completes the center piece of the headdress.

From this ensemble the talons of the Talan Crown beginning to take shape and the Prymidian pattern become more distance; as the go over the top of her head and spread out over the sides of her head.

The talons on the sides of her head are the larges and are arranged in a set of four on each side with a onyx gemstone ring held in place with a gold ring, creating what looks like and eye; while the remainder of the headdress has smaller onyx gemstones in gold casing.

The headdress reached down to the center of her head with a small gold teardrop resting between her perfect eyebrows, that highlight her brown gemstone looking eyes that are accentuated by her black eyelashes.

As she looks off to the left with sense of determination we can not help but be captivated by the flowing form of her nose and beautifully sculpted slightly parted lips; that seem to be whispering secret orders.

On each earlobe she is wearing the Ooblarian silver teardrop earrings made of a gold, silver, platinum and pearl; fused together as one piece, by a metallurgical process as been lost through the span of time; at the bottom of the earrings are silver tassels.

The earrings like the rest of her attire feature the Prymidian patterns throughout, which brings us to her shoulder neck plate that is made of the same material of her earrings.

It covers most of her neck while leaving the center open, forming a high collar look, and at its center at the top of her chest is another onyx gemstone; and beneath the plate more talon scales that then terminate in a platinum teardrop piece.

The portrait is completed with a partial reveal of what appears to be part of a traditional ceremonial evening gown with larger Prymidian patterns and an arm sleeve that goes from her shoulder to her had, as would have been tradition for such attire.
