The Company of Captain Banning Cocq (Y Noswyliwr) c1642 gan yr arlunydd o'r Iseldiroedd, Gerrit Lundens (1622 – 1686), adnabyddus am ei olygfeydd genre, vanitas paintings nad miniature portraits as well as for making copies after famous Dutch Masters.
This is a copy of the original created by Dutch Painter Rembrandt van Rijn (1606 – 1669) yn 1642 (considered to be one of the worlds greatest visual artist); and it gives us a glimpse into what the original painting looked like before it was trimmed down to fit between two columns when it was moved from its original location.
