Vittoria principessa reale (1840-1901) c1858 dal pittore britannico Frank Reynolds (Sconosciuto – 1895); noto come ritrattista e di tanto in tanto realizzava anche dipinti di genere.
Questo ritratto della principessa Victoria (La figlia maggiore della regina Vittoria), is based on the portrait created by Franz Xaver Winterhalter (1805 – 1873) of her in 1857, with alterations done to the style of her dress and the lace veil she is wearing; Winterhalter was a Neoclassicism and Romanticism portrait artist of the 19th century.
She is posing in her wedding dress wearing a white and green floral headpiece and lace veil, with diamond earrings and a large diamond necklace. Her silk wedding dress is adorned with the same floral arrangement and on her left sleeve she is wearing The Order of Louise, beside The Order Of Victoria and Albert.
