Woman with Lily

Woman with Lily by American Lithographer Louis Prang (1824 – 1909); printer and publisher, sometime referred to as the father of the American Christmas Card.

This is a beautiful portrait illustration of an alluring young brunette with wind blown flowing hair that is holding a Lily between the thumb and first finger of the right hand up near her face just below the chin.

She is also holding another lily with the rest of the plant between her right forearm and chest, with her left hand holding the bottom portion of the plant.

She is wearing an off shoulder pink satin dress and is standing against a blurred background of yellow, green and blue colors that signify a garden and sky.
