In the face of such turmoil, those in power, clinging desperately to their diminishing authority, turned to a dwindling group of scientists and engineers for a solution.
The aim of these individuals, was to create an environment wherein the surviving remnants of civilization could be placed into a state of reduce metabolic activity, only to be awakened when they would be needed.
Horrela, the Dream Sleep Environment was born; an ingenious concept that promised rest for the weary, and a way to slowly rebuild the world that had been lost to war; but what was not anticipated was the Mind Trap.

Having learned nothing from the wars that nearly wiped out a population and devastated a planet, they continued the path of self destruction; until they were no more and a new civilization rose from the ashes of the old, setting a path for a better world.
