The above public domain artwork as been remastered to remove the cracks, dropouts and degradation of the image and the photograph, using the image editor outlined above; as well as the toning and face creation for the image.
The general approach first starts by dealing with the cracks and dropouts of the artwork, then proceeds to the blending of the skin tones and other parts of the image using blending tools and noise.
Once this process is completed, the toning of the image takes place to remove the yellow-green tint that covers the artwork, due to the aging lacquer finish.
After the toning is completed a frame is created using a duplicate of the finish work and noise.
