Bebådelsens ängel (Tillkännage ängel) c17th Century by Italian Painter Carlo Dolci (1616 – 1686); var en målare från barocken och var känd för sina högt färdiga religiösa konstverk.
This portrait depicts the Archangel Gabriel with his wings as a child like figure of the Biblical story of the Annunciation, when Gabriel comes to the Mary and tells her that she will conceive a son through a virgin birth, and thus become the mother of Jesus Christ, the Christian Messiah and son of GOD.
Gabriel is shown with his hands folded across his chest, with his head tilted downward wearing a white shirt, on top of which he is wearing a deep green overcoat with gold floral emblems patterns on it; and on top of that a blue cloak with gold trimming along the inner edge that has a clear jewel in the center surrounded with six pearls.

Carlo föddes i Florens; barnbarn till en målare på sin mors sida av familjen som i mycket tidig ålder gick i lärling hos italienska barocken Jacopo Vignali (1592 – 1664).
Till skillnad från många andra målare var Carlo inte en produktiv målare; många gånger tar det veckor att arbeta på bara en del av människokroppen.
Detta gjorde honom olämplig för storskalig fresk, så han målade främst småskaliga och halvkroppslängda porträtt; även om han målade några fullängdsporträtt också.
Eftersom Dolci var en hängiven kristen är mycket av hans verk religiös till sin natur, visar sin starka tro och tro. Han hade också en dotter Agnese Dolci (1635 – 1686), som var en skicklig konstnär i sin egen rätt som hjälpte till att producera kopior av hans verk.
