Falero va néixer a Granada i originàriament va fer carrera a l'Armada espanyola, but gave it up to his parents’ decepció. He traveled on foot to Paris, on va estudiar art, química i enginyeria mecànica.
The experiments which he had to conduct in the latter two were dangerous, leading him to decide to focus on painting alone.[3] He was a student of Gabriel Ferrier. Després de París, he studied in London, where he eventually settled.
