Germany The Land of Music

Germany The Land of Music c1938 Poster by L. Heinemann is a poster that is dedicated to the love and history of German music and the great German composers and musicians of the past; before the chaos that would envelope Germany and the world that would lead to the greatest conflict in human history – World War II.

It is a beautiful and grand Art Deco illustration poster which depicts an immense blue-grey eagle structure in a side view, with the head of the eagle facing toward the viewers left; and its large embracing wings surrounding and merging with large organ pipes that are half the size of the eagle, forming the core of the birds body, and that are highlighted in yellow to blue-grey color.

The wings of the bird also seems to create a look of stage curtains, which highlight that this is a performance that is taking place.

At the bottom is the word Germany in red font and below that in script font are the words – the Land of Music. The image is finished off with a blueish grey background at the top transitioning to black at the bottom.

This is a retouched digital art old masters reproduction of a public domain image that is available online as a canvas, metal, acrylic and wood print.
