All children at birth, which included boys and girls were tested at birth for the inate ability of being a flight navigator; and if found to be genetically capable were then surgically altered with brain implants and entrusted to the care of the Navigators Guild, who’s responsibility it was to provide such individuals with star maps of the 25 galaxies that made up the Intergalactic Alliance Of Phisum.

These children would be fed a constant index of every planetary system of all the galaxies in the alliance using the implants which helped with information storage and instant retrieval; as the brain was used as an organic database of sorts; and they were also trained in the means of Quadist Navigation which allowed for cross dimensional jumping from one galaxy to another, in what can be considered an instance of time.
