Contemplation
Contemplation by Italian Painter Ignace Spiridon (1848 – 1930); a portrait painter of the late 19th and early 20th century, and Knight of the Legion of Honour.
This is an alluring portrait of a young lady that is standing in front of a large green drape that is lightly illuminated at an angle looking to the right of the painting in side profile.
She has reddish hair and is partially clothed in a sheer garment that wraps around her upper left arm with her left hand placed under her long red hair.
The garment goes around her back and around her waist and over her right wrist as she holds the garment in place so that it does fall off her waist.
This is a remastered digital art old masters reproduction of a public domain image that is available as a canvas print online.
