Madonna and Child Seated Between St. Genevieve and Joan Of Arc by Élisabeth Sonrel

Madonna And Child Seated Between St. Genevieve And Joan Of Arc (Vierge À L’enfant, Entre Sainte Geneviève Et Jeanne D’arc) by French Painter Élisabeth Sonrel (1874 – 1953); and illustrator of the Art Nouveau style; who’s works included allegorical subjects, mysticism and symbolism, portraits and landscapes.

This is a portrait of the seated Madonna wearing a crown with the baby Jesus seated on her right leg; to her right is St. Genevieve and to her left is Joan Of Arc wearing her knights armor.

Below that are three other miniature portraits; starting from the left there is a group of nuns, in the middle is a group of monks kneeling in prayer and on the right are a number of people at a grave site bidding their farewell.

This is a retouched digital art old masters reproduction of a public domain image.
